Transense has experienced huge interest from the motorsport industry for its tyre pressure and torque sensors. Transense TPMS sensors weigh 2 grams versus 20 - 30 grams for a battery based solution.
In October 2004 Stack signed a licence with Transense to service this market sector providing customised tyre pressure monitoring systems and torque sensors and the manufacture of interrogation electronics. The current Stack licence includes:
- Tyre Pressure - Integration of the SAW sensor, manufacture of system electronics, customer and potential small custom part supplier to other Transense licensees.
- Torque sensor systems - Manufacture of system electronics, integration of sensor, electronics and driveline components.
