TPMS for Truck applications to improve vehicle safety, tyre and fuel consumption
Transense received a major endorsement of its TPMS technology when Michelin, the worlds largest tyre manufacturer signed a licence in June 2001.
Michelin are well aware of the safety and economic implications associated with maintaining correct tyre pressure. For these reasons and the ability to measure pressure and temperature using a "Green" batteryless technology, Michelin has qualified Transense technology for use within truck tyres.
Combining Transense TPMS technology and Michelin's in tyre RFID will provide, tyre cradle to grave information including tyre characteristics, tyre pressure and temperature, all of which contribute valuable information for vehicle stability systems and vehicle safety.
